Privacy Policy
Effective July 11, 2026
Babydex helps you track your baby's daily care. This explains what we collect and why. In short: your data is yours, we don't sell it, and you can delete it.
What we collect
- Account. Your Apple ID name and email when you sign in with Apple.
- Baby profile. The name, birth date, sex, and optional photo you enter.
- Activity logs. The feeds, sleep, diapers, growth, temperature, medicine, and notes you record — some of which is health-related information about your child.
- App preferences. Units, theme, and reminders.
- Purchase status. Subscriptions are processed by Apple; we use RevenueCat to know whether your subscription is active. We never see your payment details.
How we use it
To provide the tracker: showing your logs, timers, reminders, and on-device insights, and to sync your data across your own devices and with caregivers who share your family code. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.
Where it lives
Your data is stored on your device first. If you sign in, an encrypted-in-transit copy is backed up to our cloud provider (Google Firebase) under your account, or under your shared family code if you use one. You can use the app fully without cloud sync.
Voice logging
If you use voice logging, the audio you record is sent to our AI provider (OpenRouter / Google Gemini) to transcribe and structure it into a draft entry. Audio is processed to return that result and is not used to build a profile of you. Don't record information you don't want processed by a third party.
Third parties
We share data only with the service providers that run the app: Google Firebase (authentication, cloud backup), our AI provider for voice logging, and RevenueCat (subscription status). They process data on our behalf under their own terms; we don't sell or rent your data to anyone.
Your choices & rights
You can edit or delete any entry, leave a shared family at any time, and delete your account from Settings. Deleting your account removes your Apple sign-in and all data stored on this device; shared family data that other members rely on is left in place. You can also email us to request deletion of synced data.
Children's data
Babydex is intended for use by a parent or guardian. Information about your child is entered by you, the adult account holder. We don't knowingly collect data directly from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
